Overview This iMac Core i5 all-in-one desktop by far has the largest screen in the all-in-one desktops category where the large screen makes for a great, high-resolution viewing experience for the user. This desktop has the latest Intel Core i5 processor which incorporates Intel’s Turbo Boost technology and hence imparts greater performance capability to the iMac. The new processor also has a functionality wherein if there are applications running which do not need all the cores, the remaining cores shut down to save power. Features The new iMac Core i5 keeps up with the latest Apple unibody design where the panel is crafted from a single block of aluminium for a sleek, fascinating look with sharp edges and classy finish. The glossy black Apple logo at the centre of bottom bezel stands out and makes for a good look. Apart from this there are no additions to the screen to keep with the simple but classy look with great built quality. The dimensions of the iMac Core i5 are, height – 51.7 cm, width – 65 cm and depth – 20.7 cm and the all-in-one desktop weighs approximately 13.8 kg.The iMac Core i5 has a 27 inch LED backlit widescreen which is a glossy TFT active-matrix LCD with IPS technology. The screen has a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio which is excellent for high-definition media viewing. For connectivity, the desktop has 4 USB 2.0 for greater range of connectivity with peripherals, a FireWire 800 port for high speed data connectivity with external drives and a Mini DisplayPort for external display to broaden the viewing experience. The graphics for this desktop are provided by the new ATI Radeon HD 5670 GPU that has 1GB GDDR5 memory.
