MacBook AluUni – Aluminium Unibody Model

macbook aluuniMacBook AluUni was announced n October 14, 2008 at Apple’s headquarters. It was featuring a new Nvidia chipset with 1066 MHz system bus, DDR3 system memory and incorporated Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics. It was five time faster than original MacBook with Intel chipset. FireWire 400 port was removed from this version of MacBook . It was equipped with a multi-touch glass trackpad, a new Mini DisplayPort and an LED backlit display. Also, the keyboard of the higher-end model was offered with a backlight.

MacBook AluUni  design had stylistic qualities of the MacBook Air that were also employed into the design of the MacBook Pro. This model made use of a unibody aluminium case with tapered edges and was slim than the original polycarbonate MacBooks.

It was considered as a favorite MacBook to date, but its display was substandard to that found on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. It was alleging a dimmer back lighting, a washed-out colours and a smaller viewing angle. The absence of FireWire ports is certainly an inconvenience for users.
